Fire Prevention Week at Urbandale

According to the National Fire Protection Association, today’s homes burn faster than ever. You may have as little as two minutes (or even less time) to safely escape a home fire from the time the smoke alarm sounds. Your ability to get out of a home during a fire depends on early warning from smoke alarms and advance planning As we talk about the importance of making a fire plan there is also an importance in donation blood. Making a blood donation is helping a doctor make a plan for a hospital patient. Donate at the Urbandale Donor Center during Fire Prevention Week (October 10-15) and you will receive a free fire themed shirt at your blood donation.
