Athletes don't go far by going alone. A football team is made up of 11 players on the field, each contributing their unique skills to achieve victory. It takes all of them to win each game, championship, and title. Similarly, saving a patient's life is not the work of a single individual but a collective effort of many. Blood recipients, much like a quarterback in football, rely on a supportive network. A single blood recipient may receive donations from many different individuals, each contributing to their recovery and well-being. Just as athletes are supported by their team, coaches, friends, family, and fans, blood recipients are supported by their medical team, blood donors, and community.
This week, local patients need you to extend your fandom beyond the Cyhawk rivalry and be a fan on their team as well by donating blood. Your contribution can make a significant difference in someone's life, just as the support from fans propels a team to victory.
